Why Coach?
Coaching with Central MTB is a rewarding way to share your love of mountain biking with the next generation. You do not need to be an expert rider - you just need enthusiasm, patience, and a willingness to learn.
Requirements
All coaches are licensed through the Minnesota Cycling Association (MCA). There are three license levels with increasing requirements. Here are the basics to get started:
- Complete a background check (all levels)
- Complete online training (all levels)
- First aid and CPR certification (Level 2 and 3)
- Mountain Bike Skills 1: Essentials (Level 2 and 3)
- Attend MCA Spring Summit for new coaches (Level 3)
- Complete field work hours (Level 2 and 3)

Interested? Email us and we will walk you through the process. Parents who want to participate in one ride can do so after signing a waiver.
